Quantitative Methods in Psychology

An intensive introduction to statistical reasoning in psychological research

This course is an algebra-based introduction to statistics for psychology. It covers the foundational principles of classical statistics (probability, sampling, regression), the most common hypothesis testing techniques (t-tests, analysis of variance, chi-square), and serves as an introduction to the R statistical software. Statistics is not “those formulas in the book” but a subject that is used and debated every day within our society, and this course connects each procedure to its historical development and its contemporary applications.
